| Narconon South Texas has operated an out-patient drug rehab program in Harlingen Texas for several years. In order to meet the increased demand for services, this year they expanded to a full residential treatment center. This center is unique as it is located near the Mexican border and delivers the Narconon® program in both Spanish and English. |

On October 30, 2008, a grand opening celebration was for their beautiful new residential rehab center. Joining them were numerous community members and several government officials. The staff were acknowledged for their service to the community and presented with proclamations from both the Texas State Senate and House of Representatives as well as the Mayors of Harlingen and San Benito, the latter proclaiming October 30, 2008 “Narconon South Texas Day” in San Benito. There were several speakers who shared their good wishes and a heartfelt speech was given by a graduate of the Narconon program who is now staff at the center. Joining Narconon staff and executives for the ribbon cutting were the Harlingen Chamber of Commerce and the Harlingen Hispanic Chamber. This was followed by wonderful entertainment from a Mariachi band and the Gloria Canales Ballet Folklorico. |
