Teens using drugs may end up needing rehab. If you need help with drug addiction, call a Narconon drug rehab counselor. We're here to assist you.

It may come as no surprise to parents of teenagers that there is often a hidden world among teens that parents just don’t share. Even in good families, those with loving adults, the attempt to share in what the teenagers are doing is often met with rebellion or rejection. Parents have the goal to raise children safely and to help them make sensible choices, even in tough situations. Teens want to try out new experiences and often their friends or peers have influence over them, which can lead to bad choices such as experimenting with drugs or alcohol. Unfortunately, those choices can potentially result in addiction to one or more prescription pain killer, other drugs or alcohol.

Several studies have shown how far apart the parents’ and teens’ realities may be.

The annual survey, Monitoring the Future, from December 2011, showed that while some lessening of alcohol abuse was reported among high school students, that marijuana use was on the rise (exceeding tobacco use) and prescription drug use was stable. They also reported that fifty percent of high school seniors in the U.S. have used illicit drugs and 70% have tried alcohol by the time they graduate high school. Fully half of those who drank alcohol reported having been drunk at least one time. Most parents would not think their child is capable of such behavior.

For just slightly older students, the statistics are no better. In a 2007 report, the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA) found that half of U.S. college students reported involvement in binge drinking, illegal drug use, or prescription drug abuse. And, more alarming than that was that nearly two million American college students met the criteria for substance abuse or dependence, which is three times higher than the rate among the general population.

A parent does have the ability to stop abuse of drugs, despite what you may think. In fact, no matter what the child says to you when you talk to him about drugs, he hears you and will listen more than he lets on. In fact, in one of the CASA studies, they found that children whose parents agreed on their anti-drug message and conveyed that message decisively to their children have lower drug abuse rates.

So how do you know if your child/teen is using drugs or has a problem with drugs or alcohol? If they are not talking directly to you about any issues with drugs, you may need to change the way you see your son or daughter. Take a good look at the signs that may point to drug abuse. Are their grades dropping? Do they miss classes at school? Are they usually friendly and talking with the family during dinner times, or do they refuse to hang out with the family, preferring to hide out in their room and just play video games? Are the signs of drug abuse there? Have they stopped taking care of themselves, and are they giving you excuses for everything that is wrong and explaining away any apparent problems?

If you see these signs, even if your teen is not talking to you about drug abuse, ask them directly. Offer to help.

Help is available for those who have lost control of their drug or alcohol consumption at Narconon drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers around the world.

New laws were passed in Florida that crack down on the rules for writing prescriptions, keeping medical records and written pain treatment plans. This can help to reduce prescription drug abuse.

Florida has recently earned a new nickname, replacing its well-used “Sunshine State” with “The Oxy Express,” due to the exorbitant rate of oxycodone sales which occur in the state. An estimated 89% of all of the nation’s oxycodone sales actually take place in Florida, and finally the legislature and Governor Scott have agreed to take action. The law, passed and signed by the Governor in June 2011, provides for a drug-monitoring data base to track sales of all controlled drugs, and also cracks down on the dishonest doctors, pharmacies and pill mills who earned the state its new nickname.

Perhaps as an effort to keep the pharmaceutical industry from interfering in its enforcement, the law prohibits the pharmacy industry from funding the drug monitoring system. This new system is to be funded by local law enforcement agencies.

Right after passage of the bill, two Orlando clinics were raided by federal authorities as part of a larger pill mill investigation. According to investigators, one of the Orlando doctors wrote prescriptions for more oxycodone than had been written in the entire state of California.

Here are some of the provisions of the new Florida law:

It creates a prescription-drug monitoring database that tracks the purchase of all controlled drugs.
It forces clinics to keep actual track of patients who receive prescriptions and to report them if they develop drug-abuse problems.

It provides minimum fines of $10,000 and six-month suspensions for doctors who overprescribe painkillers.

It creates a first-degree misdemeanor offense for a pharmacist who fails to report anyone who tries to fraudulently obtain drugs.

It tightens the rules for writing prescriptions, keeping medical records and written pain treatment plans.

There are several more provisions in the law, but overall, its purpose is to crack down on the wrongful and far too common practice of over-prescribing opioid prescription painkillers, and to curtail or stop the clinics which go into business simply to supply illegal drugs to patients who are addicted to these painkillers for the “high” rather than for any legitimate medically mandated use.

It took several years to pass the database. Efforts by proponents were repeatedly limited by legal challenges and lobbying over privacy rights. Gov. Rick Scott, a Republican, and State House Republican leaders opposed the creation of the database, saying it raised too many privacy concerns and that it was not the most effective way to curb the problem.

The real problem of course, is to curtail the demand for such pain clinics, and the drugs they so willingly dispense. In order to do that, one has to address the drug problem more completely including treatment for those who are addicted to these and other drugs. When one is suffering from addiction to any drugs, and particularly the opioid, heroin-like painkillers, it is a huge challenge to both the drug addict and the families of drug addicts to get the person clean and sober again.

Narconon has been effectively treating drug addicts for over 45 years in 50 countries around the world. They have even started to train other drug rehab programs in their drug-free withdrawal methods, in what is termed the “First Step Program.” This program also allows for families to follow guidelines of a regime of withdrawal that can be done at home by anyone that can follow the instructions of the program.

Narconon Addiction Treatment Admissions for Prescription Drugs Reflect Rising Abuse and Overdose Problems in America Across the country, the number of people entering the Narconon program shows increases in prescription drug addiction, matching the national pattern of growth in this category of abuse, treatment and overdose deaths.

According to recent reports from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), overprescribing and abuse of prescription drugs have been climbing. Following right behind those statistics are addiction and overdose death statistics. While a decade or so ago, the main drugs killing people through overdoses were drugs like heroin and cocaine, these days far more people are being killed by prescription drugs – drugs that were intended to make life bearable for people with chronic pain or other serious conditions.

http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/mm6043a4.htm?s_cid=mm6043a4_w

Mirroring this shift is the pattern of admissions to addiction treatment at Narconon drug recovery centers across the country. In the thirteen rehabs in the US that use the standardized Narconon addiction treatment protocol, the common pattern is an increase in the number of prescription drug addicts, as many as half of all admissions at some centers.

“The number of people needing to recover from prescription drug addiction – especially painkillers – has reached epidemic levels,” warned Bobby Wiggins, drug education specialist for the international headquarters of Narconon, located in Los Angeles. “More young people are abusing these drugs as well, so much so that abuse of prescription drugs threatens to overtake the use of marijuana by teens.” Mr. Wiggins cited the National Survey on Drug Use and Health by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), which reported in that in 2009, nearly a million 14 and 15 year olds had abused a prescription drug at some point in their young lives. This is nearly eleven percent of all children of this age.

http://oas.samhsa.gov/NSDUH/2k10NSDUH/tabs/Sect1peTabs1to46.htm#Tab1.1A

“Young people see their parents using these medications and then may see the drugs being abused in television shows and movies. Young people who feel they are stressed or anxious or are just curious or bored may take a few pills for their own use,” Mr. Wiggins explained. “But as the young people get older and have more means and freedom, this occasional use can become abuse and addiction very easily.”

The CDC report reviewed the number of drug overdose deaths in the US between 1999 and 2008 that were related to prescription drugs and then noted that opiate pain reliever use contributed to the largest number of drug deaths. Out of 36,450 drug overdose deaths in 2008, a specific drug or drugs were named in 27,153 deaths. Opiate pain relievers were responsible for nearly 74% of these deaths. Non-Hispanic whites and American Indian/Alaska Natives were the hardest hit, with three times the deaths of Hispanic whites or African Americans.

http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/mm6043a4.htm?s_cid=mm6043a4_w

According to SAMHSA, there were 142,000 people admitted to addiction treatment facilities for problems with pain reliever addiction in 2009. But of all those who need treatment for addiction, fewer than 10% actually get treatment. Of those who did not receive treatment, only about one in twenty felt that they needed help with addiction. The remainder did not see the problem even though they fit the criteria for dependence or addiction. This means that there are probably around a million and a half Americans struggling with addiction to OxyContin, Roxicodone, hydrocodone (sold as Lortab, Lorcet or Vicodin), morphine, methadone, or the many other drugs on this list.

http://oas.samhsa.gov/nsduh/2k8nsduh/2k8Results.cfm#7.3

“The solution to this problem is multi-faceted,” reported Mr. Wiggins. “The CDC encourages the states to implement greater controls over opiate prescribing. The public must be better educated on the dangers of prescription drug abuse and there must be effective drug rehabilitation available.”

SAMSHA data gathering also found that in 2008, nearly four times as many of those people entering treatment for the second, third or more times reported pain reliever abuse as repeat admissions did in 1999. This follows the trend of broader prescribing and abuse followed by higher numbers of those addicted.

http://www.oas.samhsa.gov/2k10/230/230PainRelvr2k10.htm

Mr. Wiggins concluded, “The cycle of addiction is broken when treatment eliminates the key factors that have been discovered at Narconon: guilt, cravings and depression.” At Narconon rehab centers around the world, seven out of ten graduates remain drug-free after they go home, whether they are getting help for alcohol, heroin, cocaine or prescription pain relievers.

Cancellation of the Florida prescription monitoring program may have valid reasons but it enables fraudulent prescription activities to continue dispensing addictive substances.

As one state after another implemented monitoring programs that enabled them to crack down on prescription fraud, Florida passed legislation that would enact a similar law – but then in March 2011, it approved a move to cancel implementation of the law.

Over the years, Florida has gained a reputation as the destination for drug dealers from other states who want to fraudulently obtain prescription narcotics for illicit sale. In particular, dealers from Tennessee, Kentucky and other southern states have established veritable trade routes to and from Florida so they can supply addicts in their home states. But despite its role in these illicit activities, Florida seemed to drag its feet in enacting legislation. By the time Florida passed its bill (that was then canceled), only one state – Missouri – had not enacted similar laws.

More Prescription Drug Deaths Than Traffic Accident Deaths

Narconon spokesperson Bobby Wiggins explained, “Governor Scott felt that this law would only provide some tracking of prescriptions, might violate privacy and would not strike at the heart of the problem. Still, Florida legislators must address the real problems rapidly or bear responsibility for any prescription drug deaths that occur as a result of drugs improperly dispensed in Florida in the meantime.” In Kentucky, for example, one of the states receiving many of Florida’s illicit prescriptions, prescription drug deaths rose from 403 in 2000 to 973 by 2009. More people now die in Kentucky due to prescription drug abuse than traffic accidents.

National Drug Czar Gil Kerlikowsi appealed to Florida legislators not to kill the bill. He appeared in Kentucky even as the Florida legislation was dying. During that visit, he dubbed Kentucky, West Virginia and Tennessee as “ground zero” for prescription drug abuse.

“Whether legislation catches up with the problem or not, what remains is that those who have become addicted to prescription drugs or any addictive substance need help to leave that addiction behind,” added Wiggins. “For more than forty years, Narconon drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers around the world have been enabling addicts to start living clean and sober lives again.”

An Internet pharmacy in Kansas was shut down after an investigation into the death of man with back pain showed they were supplying him with Carisoprodol (Soma) and Zolpidem (Ambien) without prescriptions.

It took a widow’s complaint about the Internet pharmacy that sent her husband unauthorized prescriptions before a Kansas Internet pharmacy was shut down. In 2008, the Kansas Board of Pharmacy received a report from a woman whose husband had just died of mixed drug intoxication, saying that he had not received those drugs from a legitimate source. By the time the investigation was done, an astonishing list of crimes, ignorance, neglect and utter lack of integrity had been assembled.

The widow reported that her husband had hurt his back in a car accident and had become addicted to Carisoprodol (Soma), a muscle relaxant that is also a drug of abuse. When his regular doctor would not increase his prescription, he turned to Hogan’s Pharmacy in Lyons, Kansas, run by pharmacist Rick Kloxin. On August 25, 2007, he took nine pills before going to bed and then later died, slumped over next to a pool of his own vomit. He was in the habit of taking as many as ten pills before bed every night.

Widow Tracks Down Internet Pharmacy

After his death, the widow tracked down emails from the Internet pharmacy to the man at his workplace, reminding him to reorder his medication. She also had FedEx verify that the packages he was receiving with his medications were from Hogan’s.

“If this man had been able to get addiction treatment to get him comfortably off these medications, he would not have had to die,” stated Bobby Wiggins, a spokesperson for Narconon. Narconon is an international non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives from addiction by providing effective drug rehab and drug education. “But you combine his failure to receive effective drug rehab with the criminality of the Internet pharmacy, and you have this tragedy.”

A Violation of Kansas Law

A review of the pharmacy’s practices revealed that they would not only dispense controlled substances on the basis of no more than a questionnaire, they also felt free to change the patient’s answers on the questionnaire to fit the drugs they were selling and shipping. What’s more, the staff who dispensed the drugs had no pharmacy training, a violation of Kansas law.

In most cases, the prescription labels were simply emailed from the pharmacist’s home and then filled by clerical staff. The shipping clerk in the office was sending out 600 to 1000 orders every day to locations all over the country, far more than the pharmacist was able to review. The pharmacy also maintained three unlinked databases of patient names and never cross-checked them to make sure that a patient was only placing one order for a prescription, rather than one order per database.

Pharmacy Shut Down

“Because of shady practices in a business as life-and-death as a pharmacy, this man was denied the medical attention he needed and lost his life,” Wiggins added. “The good news is that the State of Kansas wisely shut this Internet pharmacy down and canceled the Rick Kloxin’s license. Mr. Kloxin was later charged with three felonies and several misdemeanors.”

To learn more about how the Narconon drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers can help a person addicted to prescription drugs like Carisprodol, call and speak to one of our drug rehab counselors.

Bobby Wiggins Narconon Drug Prevention Specialist says prescription drug abuse should be included when talking to kids about drugs.

When the current generation of parents was growing up, the biggest drug problems were marijuana, alcohol, amphetamines, heroin and sedatives. So when today’s parents of teenagers talk to their kids about drugs, they may overlook the fact that prescription drug abuse is the fastest growing substance abuse problem out there.

They probably don’t know about the numbers.

In 2002, there were nearly 4.4 million people abusing prescription pain relievers, the number one class of prescription drug abused. By 2009, nearly a million people had been added to this list. In that same time span, the number of people being treated for pain reliever addiction more than doubled, climbing nearly to three-quarters of a million. Nearly twice that needed treatment for their addictions to oxycodone, hydrocodone, fentanyl, codeine, Ritalin, benzodiazapines, Soma or a long list of other prescription drugs.

“Plenty of kids hear about the dangers of smoking marijuana or using cocaine, but parents may think that prescription drugs are safely locked up,” explained Bobby Wiggins, Narconon® Drug Prevention Specialist. Narconon is an international organization dedicated to helping overcome addiction and to educating young people on the dangers of drugs and addiction.

“Many young people start abusing drugs by getting them from someone they know,” said Wiggins. “Maybe it starts with a friend, a relative who gives them some or sells them, or the young person may just steal a few if they think they can get away with it. In short, it’s not that hard if a person really wants it. But it can be plenty hard to quit if the person decides they’ve had enough.”

Parents may overlook explaining to their children that a drug like OxyContin can be very quickly addictive and for some, can be harder to withdraw from than heroin. And because children probably know adults who take prescription drugs such as Xanax and Prozac, it may not seem dangerous for them to take these drugs out for a test drive.

By 2010, prescription drug abuse had pervaded America. The University of Michigan reported that 10 percent of high school seniors were abusing painkillers. In New Hampshire, deaths from overdoses quadrupled between 1999 and 2007. In a small county in Central Florida, accidental overdoses of prescription drugs doubled in one year, going from 21 to 42.

“Parents should make time to explain that prescription drug use is only safe when it’s done under the supervision of a doctor and then only as prescribed,” added Wiggins. “A parent could research the effects of these drugs with their children. When a child learns that OxyContin withdrawals are described as ‘the worst flu you ever had with vomiting and diarrhea that goes on for 10 to 14 days,’ they might think twice about using the drug recreationally. A little communication can go a long way with a child who would otherwise only hear that someone they knew was having fun using these drugs.”

At Narconon centers in forty countries around the world, people are learning to leave addiction behind as they build a new productive life to replace the one that was destroyed by addiction. Every year, Narconon volunteers educate tens of thousands of children why they should choose a drug-free life for themselves. For more information, visit www.narconon-news.org.

Narconon reports about prescription drugs and pill mills as well as what some of the Narconon centers expansion in 2009

- Pill Mills Major Contributor To Prescription Drug Epidemic: Prescription drugs as just as harmful as any other drug when abused. In fact, many prescription painkillers are greatly addictive and do have serious side effects. The Narconon procedure fortunately handles the prescription drug addict just as it does the Heroin addict, however the unfortunate part is that legally operating clinics are the new source of addicts in our country.

- Narconon Offers The Way to Happiness for Addicts: Narconon specializes in drug prevention and rehabilitation. Often a drug addict started on drugs or alcohol to obtain some sense of happiness. Drugs give one a false sense of well being initially only to have serious consequences later on. When someone does drugs a second and third time each time the users are trying to obtain that initial feel of well-being. As addiction carries on it starts to take more and more of the same drug to create the desired effect.

- Celebrity Addiction A Growing Tragedy: Narconon handles addiction to all forms of substance abuse. Narconon has the highest percentage of permanent recovery from addiction in the industry. Along with addiction there are both physical and mental factors to address. Drug cravings can be a very real, harmful and insidious part of addiction. With prescription medicine it can and does appear to creep up on one as one is usually required to take a particular painkiller for a certain period of time.

- Narconon Drug Rehabilitation Program Restores Morals to Drug Addicts: … With this addition to the Narconon program its graduates not only stay off drugs but as well remain out of legal trouble after the Narconon program since they now understand what it means to live morally and how real happiness doesn’t lie in immoral acts.

- Addiction Treatment Provided by Pill Mills Concern Many: Mary Rieser a certified chemical dependency counselor and director of Narconon of Georgia drug rehabilitation center says, “We can’t just cover up addiction with a dependency on pharmaceuticals. Addiction is about behavior and taking one pill in substitution of another is not a change. We need to provide effective addiction treatment programs not more medications.”

- The Way To Happiness Guides Addict To a Drug-Free Life: Sam, a recent graduate from Narconon Louisiana, came into the program because he was suffering from an addiction to prescription drugs. Like most addicts he neglected many things in his life in order to keep using. But it wasn’t till he came to a key point in his treatment at the Narconon drug rehabilitation program that he could really see this and consequently stop it permanently. (http://www.transworldnews.com/NewsStory.aspx?id=155174&cat=15)

- Narconon Louisiana Expands in 2009: …But for those whose lives have been ravaged by addiction, there have also been many who have been helped through drug abuse treatment centers all over the world. Narconon Louisiana, a residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation center, were able to help more than 120 people that enrolled on the program in 2009. (http://www.transworldnews.com/NewsStory.aspx?id=156046&cat=10)

- Narconon Drug Rehab Teaches Addicts To Be Temperate: James*, a former drug addict, knows exactly what it feels like when your life is spinning out of control. “A year ago I was at my worse. I had no control; every day was spent looking for my next shot of heroin and if I came across another type of drug I would use it immediately.” This type of out of control behavior is what led James to enroll in a drug rehab program called Narconon Louisiana where he was able to complete a course called The Way To Happiness; a common sense guide to moral living. (*see story for details at http://www.transworldnews.com/NewsStory.aspx?id=155543&cat=10)

- Narconon Freedom Center Instills Moral Values in Drug Addicts: It is for this reason that the Narconon program in Michigan has as part of its program The Way to Happiness, a non-religious moral code based on common sense. … With Narconon Freedom Center using The Way to Happiness as part of their drug rehabilitation program and instilling moral values into its students, students are far less likely to travel down the same path that led to their demise. (http://www.transworldnews.com/NewsStory.aspx?id=156446&cat=10)

- Narconon Michigan Has Successful Year In 2009: This last year, 2009, proved to be a very successful year for Narconon Freedom Center in rehabilitating many from drug and alcohol addiction. Drug addiction seems to be a hard fact of life. There are hardly any of us who don’t know of someone struggling with a drug or alcohol problem.
Narconon drug rehab program news report. News and information about drug addiction and prescription drugs from the Narconon centers around the U.S.

Narconon staff and executives wishes all a happy new year to all. Many more lives saved from drug addiction in 2009. Below are some of the recent Narconon drug rehab centers news:

Narconon Salutes its 1,200 Staff Worldwide on 13,000 Lives Saved This Last Decade: Narconon drug rehabilitation and education staff have grown to over 1,200 in the last ten years. Many are graduates of the Narconon program, which has never given up and never will on the concept that a recovering alcoholic or other drug addict can achieve a stably drug-free and ethical life. Some others also believe this, not enough. Another hypothesis circulates that addiction is a chronic relapsing disease. This is only a theory, not a law.

Narconon Steps In To Help Current Abuse Trends: With rising drug abuse trends and no signs of this epidemic stopping, Americans need now more than ever effective drug prevention and rehabilitation. Narconon provides not only effective drug and alcohol rehabilitation but drug education lecture in schools, businesses and community groups to prevent youth from ever turning to drugs to begin with.

Prescription Drug Addiction in Florida Serious Growing Threat: This has been seen on the drug treatment side as well as Narconon drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers have noted an increase in prescription drug addiction admissions. Because of this Narconon is doing all it can with its drug education and prevention lectures to inform youth and adults that it is not just street drugs are becoming more and more of a problem as well as increasing the numbers of people going into Narconon drug treatment programs. Unfortunately, prescription drugs are often easier to obtain than street drugs and one need not reach further then the medicine cabinet to set oneself on a path of serious addiction. (http://www.narcononeastus.org/)

Prescription Painkillers Can Lead to Addiction: As Narconon points out, prescription painkillers can be just as addictive, if not more so than street drugs. If one is in pain oftentimes the only solution is to numb the pain with a drug. However, this can start the cycle of addiction. Fortunately, Narconon drug rehabilitation provides an effective solution including a drug-free withdrawal that involves repairing the nutritional deficiencies and safely eliminating the drug toxins to break the cycle of addiction.

List of Deadly Prescription Drugs Found: “Many of these drugs are not only highly addictive, but are deadly if combined,” comments Mary Rieser, Executive Director for Narconon Drug Rehab Georgia. “Many people don’t realize the dangers of prescription drug abuse, and whether her doctors knew she was combining these potentially lethal drugs is a question that should be answered. The drugs found are very powerful, often affecting different parts of the body, often with tragic results.”

Narconon Drug Rehab Awards Unsung Hero: Gordy has been clean for 41 years, since attending the Narconon program in the Arizona State Penitentiary in 1968. He reflects every day on just how lucky he is, but especially during the holidays when he is with his family. Gordy reflects, “Believe is or not, my life started changing for the better after I got arrested and sentenced to the Arizona State Penitentiary.” William Benitez, a once hopeless heroin addict started the Narconon program in prison, after reading Fundamentals of Thought, by L. Ron Hubbard and realizing that he was not a powerless addict, but a person of capability. (http://www.drugsno.com)

Drug Rehab Offers Advice for a Safe New Year: “So we are telling everyone to have a good time this year, but remember a few facts that can protect them and their friends before the party begins,” coments Mary Rieser, Executive Director of Narconon Drug Rehab of Georgia “Sadly enough, there are some New Years predictions that every year prove to be reliable. One is that more people are likely to die in alcohol-related traffic crashes on New Years Eve than on any other day of the year. Narconon is a non-traditional drug abuse treatment program which was founded in 1967.

Mother and Son Spend Holidays Free of Drug Addiction: Celebrating the holidays under the grip of addiction is not what this family wanted. Narconon California just received another life changing success story evoking the true spirit of the holidays. “Before he began using drugs like xanax, marijuana, and opiates like oxycodine and abusing alcohol, my son Bill loved family life, school and the great outdoors,” said Jeanne, mom of the ex-addict.

Synthetic Alcohol Could Prolong Treatment: Narconon Louisiana is a long-term, inpatient facility located just outside of Baton Rouge. This secluded retreat allows clients to handle their addiction in a calm, peaceful atmosphere. In a field where the average success rate is between 12-20%, Narconon Louisiana far surpasses that with a 76% success rate for permanent recovery.

Medical Marijuana Can Open Door For Addicts: Narconon Louisiana, has seen first-hand how marijuana leads to harder, more dangerous drugs. “I talk to hundreds of addicts a year and almost all of the cite marijuana as being their first drug. Eventually you move on to different drugs like heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine when marijuana no longer provides you with the same feeling anymore.” (residential drug rehab center in Louisiana)

Narconon Freedom Center Bringing in a Drug Free New Year: The Narconon program in Michigan had been expanding through the holidays and its graduates are entering 2010 drug free and with a new lease on life. Only a few months before these same students were burdened with drug addiction in a seemingly unending misery of drug use, guilt, depression, and cravings and only more drugs as the answer which further pushed them down. The founders of Narconon Gulf Coast saw such tremendous success with this program and they then decided to open a fully state licensed Narconon Drug Rehabilitation facility, located in Destin, Florida, and have dedicated themselves to helping others to break the bonds of substance abuse.
